It is not easy to get a user to trust a virtual store, no matter how good the products and website design are, cart abandonments may still occur.

Typically, this occurs due to a lack of trust. We now give you some small tips to calm the fear of your potential customers and increase the probability that they will buy your products from you.

1. Seriousness.

We must make it very clear to the client, among other things, what country we are from, who is behind the website, whether we have a warehouse or physical store, the contact information and location clearly visible... It is necessary to demonstrate that we are a serious company. . For example, with a well-developed and complete contact form, as well as customer service that includes policies and an FAQ page.

It should be easy to navigate and publish all the information that the user may be looking for. The more complete your FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) is, the more confidence your products will inspire in a potential customer.

2.- Include other people's opinions.

No matter how coherent you are, users will always believe what other people say about your products or services before what you say yourself. It is then advisable to add opinions from satisfied customers. We can do it by text, although you can also take advantage of the popularity of YouTube to add opinions in video form.

It is also a good idea to include copies of articles from a magazine or newspaper where they speak well about our products or services.

3.- The human factor.

In the same way as in physical stores, people want to be served by real people.

It is very important that the virtual store has the human factor that transmits trust. To do this, we can add a page called "About us" in which we show information about the company and/or a message from the president, or also one called "Our team", which includes the name and photo of the employees.

It may seem silly, but these small nuances already allow us to see the faces of the person behind an online store and, therefore, trust them a little more.

4.- Make things clear from the beginning

Put yourself in the shoes of a potential client. What are you most afraid of when buying in an online store? You may not like the product when you get it home and they may not accept any returns or exchanges. So make it very clear and explain from the beginning what your shipping and return policies are.

For example, we can indicate whether shipping within the country is free or not for orders over a certain amount and/or stipulate that returns or exchanges are accepted for a specific number of days, giving details of the process at all times.

5.- Make your website a safe place

Users are increasingly better documented and know how to detect in the address bar, for example, https instead of http, or the padlock icon that indicates that the website is secure.

However, if your online store does not automatically display a warning that users are using a secure server, it is absolutely necessary to inform customers during/after purchase that the store is secure by displaying an SSL certificate symbol or including information about it.
