The unstoppable growth of online shopping

According to the new study carried out by Ciudad Market, the number of Internet users who make buy online has increased in Spain from almost 8,9 million to 10,4 million users.

The Internet has established itself as one of the new ways to relate, have fun and shop. It has revolutionized the way we access information, making it much easier to consult any data anywhere at any time thanks to its adaptability to new smartphones and the increasingly popular tablets.

El E-commerce has grown by 13% since it has improved security and usability, pillars for generating trust. There are already more than 14 million Spaniards who purchase products online every month. The most important sectors are fashion, books and travel.

Spain is the third country in the EU in E-Commerce, with Germany and the United Kingdom at the head. According to the study carried out by the prestigious consulting firm Forrester, Spain will lead the growth of online purchases between now and 2027.

The range of buyers is expanding thanks to the fact that new generations have greater experience and knowledge in using different online stores.
