The first approach that many have made to Bama-Geve is usually unconscious. That is, through some of his products. In my case, the second time I heard about them I tried to do a little more research before approaching them directly. So, searching the Internet like a wandering geek, I stumbled upon the news of its centenary and discovered the publication of its Logbook, which collects with a lot of photographs the evolution of the company in parallel to the historical evolution of our company. society (don't miss it!).
I'll tell you a little. Bama-Geve is a pharmaceutical laboratory that was founded by the pharmacist Gerardo Vergés and the doctor Antonio Oliveres in 1909 in Tortosa, Tarragona. Its history spans 100 years, from the beginning of the XNUMXth century with Tosiletas, cough pills, and Linitul, oiled dressings for small wounds and burns, to the present day, the Mepentol Line, in the prevention and treatment of ulcers. skin, and Spiraxin, a research and development product.
The company became part of the Italian Alfa Wassermann group in 2003 and today, it has already doubled its turnover at that time. One of the things that most attracts my attention is seeing how, despite the changes suffered throughout its extensive history, Bama-Geve maintains some common traits in its character: the family environment, the innovative vocation and its greatest asset, the enthusiasm and commitment that its human team contributes every day.
