I visit an entity that has been conscientiously dedicating itself to the study of migrations in Catalonia for more than 30 years, the Paulino Torras Domènech Foundation. They know first-hand a multitude of cases and examples of what the living conditions are like for those who come from far away in search of new opportunities. We talk about politics, health, human rights, cooperation, tolerance, culture and for a few moments we try to fix the world... although I, right now, am only passing through, and they will continue with their work for a long time.
The Foundation was established in 1970 with the purpose of carrying out, mainly in Catalonia, financial aid and activities of a charitable, educational and cultural nature for migrants, young people and orphans. They also offer courses, masters and seminars on related topics. They explain to me how lately the problems of social and labor insertion have become more acute. This is how I discover a vision and sensitivity that is as impressive as it is admirable.
I hope that your visit to the website encourages you, like me, to contact the Foundation or visit its headquarters in Barcelona.
Currently they have changed the domain of the wbe to: https://fundaciomontblanc.org
