MAY 2011 Website: Cultural Tasting
We deserve an award. I'm not talking about myself, or a company... I'm talking about all of us. I propose that we give ourselves over to the good life, to small pleasures, to granting ourselves whims and, above all, being able to share them. But we will do it in an original and different way.
Do you know the history of the Greek city of Sybaris? It is said that once an inhabitant of Sybaris told another Greek that he had not been able to sleep because one of the thousands of rose petals that filled his mattress was bent.
It is not a question of reaching those extremes, no, but of staying with the concept. Today, the term "sybarite" relates to the appreciation of details and the careful method of one's activity. Thus, gourmets lean their preferences towards high-quality products. And that's what I mean. 🙂
CataCultural is an entity dedicated to culture that offers us the possibility of entering the world of theater, cinema, reading, painting, travel or music in a totally simple and effective way. In addition, it allows us to share and enjoy all these experiences as a group. For example, we can go to dinner with writers or actors, take literary tours, family outings or go to the theater.
Becoming a member is completely free. Each activity will have a price and you choose which one you sign up for, purchasing the ticket from the website, where the information on all the cultural news happening in Barcelona is updated, so you can choose your most suggestive “cultural tasting”.
Likewise, every two months a meeting is proposed to attend the presentation of books, plays, films, music... with the presence of the respective authors of the work, where you can ask questions to the writers, journalists, actors or musicians, among others, creating a space of direct contact between the artist and the viewer.
