Social Networks: The nearest future.

Go out on the street and ask anyone if they know Facebook, YouTube, Instagram or Snapchat. What's more, those of you who are reading this article on the blog of IndianWebs you can answer that question. You not only know these social media but thanks to them you are beginning to read the fourth line of the first paragraph. Surely you have gotten here by clicking on a link that appeared on your Facebook wall, for example.

In recent years these platforms have expanded so much that it is probably difficult to imagine everyday life without them. Not a negative aspect, quite the opposite. What would a company be if it does not have an online presence? Or more specifically, what impact would Paula Echevarría have if she did not publish her articles and the photographs that redirect you to it on her Instagram account?

Precisely due to aspects such as those mentioned above, we consider what the future of social networks will be like. A future that is just around the corner that we are currently taking, that is, very close.

Define our circle

Will the trend towards the impersonal and anonymous continue or will our circles be limited? The answer to this question varies depending on the theory of each expert. Some assure that the current trend will continue, but others affirm that we are increasingly interested in limiting and limiting what we share and with whom we do it.

Jen Goldberg, digital strategist at advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy, said: "We have moved away from blogs and broadcasting, towards anonymous exchange and between small messaging groups."

The brief, triumphs

The photographs and short texts smile at the sadness of those "novels" that sometimes flood our Facebook wall. The "boom" and growth of Tumblr, Instagram and Snapchat is precisely due to the brevity and speed of interaction.

Popularity wavering

The writer and producer of Shut Up! Cartoons, Dan Domínguez, believes there will be a big change. Facebook and Snapchat will be reduced in popularity after a period of growth and their bet is on YouTube. About the latter he commented: »» It will probably always exist, because there you can really tell emotionally rich stories »».

Instead of creating, sharing

This idea is based on the enhancement of the current trend. More and more people are sharing content instead of creating it.

Marketing Presence

Gone are those states in which we explained the stone we had stumbled upon. Now, we share experiences in the sunlight but a great commercial brand always casts a shadow. Although it is not taken into account or may seem untrue, a photo with a Nike t-shirt or a "selfie" in which the apple appears can have advertising touches.

More than online platforms

If this trend continues to increase, social networks will go from being a part of the internet and will begin to be a part of ourselves. Creations like Google Glass or Oculus VR imply the same thing.

There is a phrase that could perfectly be the heading of this last concept:

"When our eyes are a video camera, our ears are a microphone, and we wear clothes with code in the fibers, we will probably share our lives on a biorhythmic scale."
