CiU's economic spokesperson in Congress, Josep Sánchez Llibre, has negotiated with the PSOE this important amendment for Barcelona in the Collective Investment Institutions law approved this morning in the Economy Commission.
According to the amendment negotiated by CiU and PSOE, "the General State Budget Law for the year 2012 will contemplate the declaration, as an event of exceptional public interest, of the celebration of the Mobile World Capital in Barcelona."
Sánchez Llibre explained that, "in the period 2012-2018, Barcelona will not only host the Mobile World Congress, as until now, but will become a permanent technological and cultural center aimed at promoting the existing industrial fabric, creating new opportunities of business and give visibility to the potential of mobile communication for the city.
From 2012 to 2018, all companies participating in this international event will be able to deduct up to 15% of the costs incurred by advertising for participating in the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and tax credits for individuals of 25% and 35%. of companies that make donations to the consortium that will be created for the event.
