A few days ago, Mark Zuckerberg's social network made public a somewhat special news. Facebook makes it possible to designate a virtual successor in the event that an account user dies. To notify the death you must fill out a form.

Thus, by completing this form, a friend or family member of the victim will be able to contact the company to notify them of what happened. It must include the name and date on which the person died and it is advisable, to demonstrate and verify, to attach some type of document that attests to the death.

Facebook, after receiving the data, checks and verifies the death. If correct, the account becomes commemorative in nature. So "In Memory" will appear next to the user's name and friends, acquaintances and family will be able to share memories about that person on their wall.

The memorial account will keep the posts and documents published by the user in question intact but will disappear from searches for "people you may know" and will make it impossible to access it as a registered user.
