As you well know, WhatsApp is owned by Facebook. However, Mark Zuckerberg does not want to have the great instant messaging platform in his pocket without promoting it properly. Thus, they are studying the possibility of establishing links between the two platforms: Facebook and WhatsApp.

The idea would be that a new one would appear in the status bar next to the "Like", "Comment" and "Share" buttons that would allow Facebook comments to be sent to WhatsApp contacts. So far, they are simple rumors since the social network does not comment or give rise to any speculation.

This news is surprising since in the last edition of the Mobile World Congress, Jan Koum, founder of WhatsApp, reiterated: "We will not integrate into Facebook." That they are two completely independent applications is something that has been repeated since Facebook bought the instant messaging "app."

Sending messages to WhatsApp through Facebook would cause the data of registered users to be controlled jointly. However, that would not diminish the independence of the application.
