Between sips of coffee, an idea emerged. Jaime Fernández and Bernardo Montero, young entrepreneurs living in Madrid, decided to create an application that would allow them to find and evaluate professionals. That idea was born from the excellent attention that the waitress gave them when serving them those cups of coffee. They both thanked the boss for having such a nice girl in his cafeteria. At that precise moment, they thought: "Why are businesses evaluated and not also people?" They were plotting the answer and after several years they decided to launch Guudjob.
An idea carried out that has become the best Android application of the year for The App Date and is one of the candidates to win the Mobile Premiers Awards that will be presented at the next Mobile World Congress. Currently the app has 15.000 active users and among these, 5.000 are professionals.
To avoid anonymity and with the aim of exuding objectivity and meritocracy, you must register and identify yourself as a user to rate and comment on the profiles of the different professionals. Some professionals that can be found thanks to the filtering network offered by this application. Province, price and score are some of the criteria that allow you to further narrow and centralize the search.
One of the creators explains that anyone who wants can contact them to make any type of suggestion or recommendation. "I have even had coffee with some of the most active users to listen to their proposals for improvement," says Montero.
The founders of this app are not worried about the return on investment. It is an issue to be dealt with calmly and in the long term given that the intention is for this application to grow since the greater the number of users, the greater its usefulness will be. ""That the community is large and people can more easily find what they are looking for, with a quality offering,"" Montero pointed out in conclusion.
