She is a photographer, hates doors and likes the music of Krakovia and the drawings of MagicoMora, artists more or less outside the established circuits that, like her, populate MySpace and other virtual communities. Her name is Ingrid and she is also beautiful and narcissistic enough to become, at 24 years old, the main protagonist of her work. Images that range from innocence naive to the most consolidated erotic strategies of visual seduction. We find out about all this and much more on his MySpace, a container for photographs, music, works and thoughts, where the boundaries between work and life, public and private, material and immaterial are blurred.

Ingrid is a typical specimen of the so-called generation Y, communities of young artists who live and work on the Internet, indifferent to the laws of the market and the art world. Whether it is a flesh and blood or fictional character is secondary, what matters is its identity on the Internet, an identity that can disappear without a trace as soon as its owner gets tired of it.

That was what happened in real life to the Catalan filmmaker Eduard Cortés, who chatted for months with someone who suddenly disappeared from the Internet and from his life, without him being able to find him again despite all his efforts. From this experience an artistic project has emerged, made up of a film, an exhibition and two virtual spaces on the Internet. Ingrid, The film will premiere in September at festivals and commercial theaters and will simultaneously be offered on the Internet for free download. "It is a mistake to think that this way people will not go to the cinema, on the contrary I think it is an incentive for them to leave the computer screen for the cinema," says Cortés.

Meanwhile, the Palau de la Virreina in Barcelona hosts the exhibition until June 21 Ingrid Last Login, which captures the process of creating the fictional character of the protagonist: a girl with bangs and an enigmatic look, a symbol of a collective of young creators, which feeds hundreds of blogs Photographers like Cordelia, Lenoir or MuteBox, performers such as LadyPain or Lyona, and musicians such as Russian Red, Manos de Topos or Love of Lesbian, demonstrate that the Internet has given unexpected visibility to new artists. For Cortés, choosing them and convincing them to leave the virtual space was not an easy thing. "At first they were not interested. They look for other forms of recognition, they measure their success in access to their web, true global references, which far exceed a million monthly visits," say Xavier Atance and Sole Fernández, curators of the exhibition, which brings together and analyzes the creative environment of generation Y, "made up of individualistic, unfaithful, creative, spontaneous and restless, in permanent evolution, just as their works are permanent Work in progress".

There are only three professional actors in the film, all the others are bloggers who interpret themselves, although according to the script and dialogues of the fiction imagined by Cortés, which begins in the loft. by Ingrid. This space, recreated in the exhibition hall, hosts rehearsals by musical groups, performances and other events, which are not announced on traditional channels, only through virtual word of mouth: blogs, social networks and surroundings. While the film arrives, to enter Ingrid's world, in addition to the exhibition, which naturally has its virtual version (www.ingridlastlogin.es), there is the photographer's MySpace (www.myspace.com/x_ingrid_x), where she exhibits permanently their daily deeds. "Ingrid is a voice that speaks of the need to explore our limits as artists," concludes Cortés.
