Sant Jordi, one of the most emblematic and precious festivities in Catalonia, generates a lot of impact on social networks, with Instagram and Twitter being the ones that host the most literature or photography contests.

Photographs of books, writers, literary quotes and roses have caused the hashtag #SantJordi to be a trending topic in Barcelona in a few hours and the third most used in all of Spain behind #FelizDiaDelBook.

TMB has promoted a short story contest through Instagram. To participate, you have to write a new version of the famous legend of the dragon using the hashtag #RelatsCurts or post a screenshot of a conversation about Sant Jordi via WhatsApp.

The Catalan Tourism Agency has focused on the photographic world and for this it has chosen the best platform, Instagram. Under the hashtag #SantJordiExperience you can participate by posting framed images on the day. Roses, books, writers, etc.

On the other hand, Mobile World Capital and Movistar have launched a literary contest divided into two categories, Micropoetry and Original Humor Quote. Texts with a maximum of 130 characters and using the #mSantJordi tag.

A beautiful day in any corner of the streets of Barcelona and, as you have seen, on the internet. New technologies continue to grow and immerse themselves in historical festivities.
