Tuenti has implemented on its platform a first mechanism for verifying the identity of its users through the electronic DNI in order to “continue to be the safest social network that best protects privacy,” the company has reported.

In this way, Telefónica's social network takes advantage of the possibilities offered by electronic accreditation systems to guarantee the veracity of the identities of its users, and streamline the relationship between companies and users and becomes the first social network to implement a system of this type.

Tuenti has explained that with this measure it reinforces its commitment to allow users to “replicate a digital environment identical to that which exists in analog life” and transfer their true personal information to the social network, thus promoting an “authentic” relationship between them.

Specifically, this first project, which integrates the technology developed by the Spanish company Tractis, is now available in the identity verification process of prepaid customers of the virtual mobile operator Tuenti.

Specifically, the developed application allows the user to use the electronic DNI without the need to install computer programs on the computer.

For Tuenti's Vice President of Corporate Development, Sebastián Muriel, once again this company remains at the "avant-garde", as a leading technology company in innovation and development at a global level.
