An Internet community of football fans has closed an agreement with Skjold BK, of the Danish Second Division (equivalent to the Spanish Second B), to influence all decisions related to the first team, the TV2 channel reported today.

Skjold BK decided last night in an extraordinary meeting to support the idea that the members of the Mitsuperligahold website partially run the club through the purchase of shares. "It's something new and exciting, we created a different democracy.

All Skjold members, and with them the users of that website, will be able to influence decisions, from the choice of players or their purchase or sale," declared the club's president, Jørgen Marthedal. The idea is inspired by the community of English fans "MyFootballClub", which in December 2007 bought Ebbsfleet United, a team in the fifth category of English football.

Bjarne Vennike, promoter of the Danish website, highlighted that their project differs from the English one in that they have not bought the club, but rather it is a collaboration agreement. The goal is for the project to start operating in the 2009-2010 season and its long-term objective is, as stated in the name of the website, to promote to the "Super League", the highest category of Danish football.

Founded in 1915, Skjold is a modest club in Copenhagen, but with great tradition, and with more than 1.500 players in its different teams, it is the largest in Denmark.
