For a few weeks now, we have had a new service called Instagram TV or IGTV, which comes to compete directly with YouTube videos. Let's see what the differences are and what we will get in this case.
What Instagram TV gives us
With Instagram TV what we can do is take a complete turn in terms of creating videos since what we will do is share audiovisual material but in such a way that we will do it with vertical videos, something that cannot yet be done on the Youtube network.
The duration of the videos on Instagram TV will depend in principle on the number of followers you have, and you can make videos of up to a maximum of one hour in length for those followers who have at least 10 thousand followers. Those who have less will be able to upload videos of up to 5 minutes.
Once you have made the decision to take the step, what it is about is creating your own channel, for which you will have to download the Instagram TV application on your mobile.
It is not yet known if it will really be a YouTube competition, since what it is about here is being able to make videos in a much more spontaneous way, where there is not so much editing and where there is direct contact with the followers. Unlike live videos, you can make videos at any time and therefore upload them whenever you want.
But what really stands out the most about its arrival is the option to be able to make vertical videos. Until now, if you wanted to make this type of videos, once you transferred them to YouTube, for example, you ran into the problem that they looked really bad, which is why it is hoped that this change in format will be something that will help that people make videos much more spontaneously in general with everything.
