Social media marketing: 5 things companies should know

19/11/2021
Elizabeth De Leon

In this period I am doing a lot of in-company training in Social Media Marketing, Web Copywriting and Facebook Ads: my clients are not only medium-large companies, but also small ones (made up of 3-4 employees, so to speak).

During these courses I realize that it is essential to focus on 5 important aspects in the operational management of Social Media, which should not be underestimated.

1. Publication scheduling.

Don't panic: you can't be on social media constantly, but there are tools that help schedule posts. I am happy with PostPickr : while I am on Facebook I use the “Program” option that makes the platform available, to LinkedIn and Twitter I use PostPickr to schedule posts for the week. The tool also allows you to insert links, images and videos.

2. The Page Manager.

If you work in Social Media, you cannot think of doing it in the classic 8 hours from Monday to Friday: on vacation, during the weekend, in the evening after dinner (with the right balance between professional and social life! ) Social notifications, of having to write a post not planned in the editorial calendar, of answering user questions. Your best friend will become a aplicación móvil : The Pages manager , thanks to which you will always have under control all the pages you manage.

3. Never take anything for granted.

Many brands do not realize that the contents to start , to create the editorial calendar, They already have them at home . If you are also making the same mistake, don't think that your potential clients already know perfectly well your reality, your products, what you do.

Start with yourself, from your company.

Collect content like:

  • information about him team: Who works in the company?
  • images of headquarters de the company
  • photographs of the machines marked with your logo (if you have them, of course)
  • mini-videos and “before and after” photos of a Manufacturing process
  • details about their products

4. Aim for quality and not quantity.

It doesn't matter posting content every day on social media; What matters is publishing useful and interesting content for your community. As they say… " better few but good «.

Study your company -> collect material -> create content -> write the editorial plan with a publication frequency in depending on how interesting it is to tell.

5. The number of fans/followers is not everything.

On the contrary... it makes no sense to have three hundred thousand fans on the Facebook page, if then no one interacts with the brand as much as with the other fans, tagging themselves for example. Much better to have a small number of fans, with whom, however, there is a real dialogue, a relationship with people.
