What to ask a web designer

In our experience, there are some basic questions that go beyond knowing or not knowing about web design and that will partly help you determine different questions of your own.

• -Price: What is the price of the website that they are going to create for you? The ideal is to ask for a quote before doing anything. It is the only way to be clear about what investment we must make in this case to be able to reach that website. Sometimes we want a type of website but our budget is smaller, so we will have to settle for a website with fewer features and then move on to the website we want.

 

• -Time: The time in which a website will be ready is something that always influences and will depend on how complex it is. Being given an estimated time is something interesting since it will allow you to organize the rest of the issues around your business.

 

• -Compensations: In some cases, there are delays that have to do with the designer or the company themselves. It is good that the type of compensation is established in the contract if this exists.

 

• -Type of website: What is the website going to be like? Is it a responsive website? Even if you don't have technical knowledge, it is essential that you know what your website is going to be like and that it can reflect the spirit of your company before you start working with it.

 

• -Positioning: Does the quote price include Google Adwords? What will the positioning be like? Sometimes this is handled as something separate, but you must know the tools that are included in the positioning because perhaps you need something else for it.

 

• -Web management: Will I be able to manage the website myself? Taking a practical class on how you can manage the website yourself is essential since it will allow you to be independent and change what you consider in terms of content. This is especially important if you have an online store.

 

• -Hosting and domain: Are they included in the price? During how much time?

 

• -Maintenance: What maintenance is included in the website? Keep in mind that if there is any type of problem on the website you should be able to act as soon as possible, so knowing if maintenance is included is essential to ensuring that your website is active at all times.
