Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension is included in the group of diseases labeled rare. Pulmonary hypertension is the simple name given to a complex health problem. Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is defined by the excessive increase in pressure in the arteries that carry blood from the heart to the lungs, an abnormal increase. By consensus, PH is considered to exist when the mean pulmonary artery pressure (mPAP) is equal to or greater than 25 mmHg at rest, or 30 mmHg during exercise.
Thus, in 2004, the National Pulmonary Hypertension Association was created with the objective of seeking information, procedures and legalities to finally, in the summer of 2005, become the first and only Association in our country that tries to respond to all doubts and concerns of those affected (patient and family) by Pulmonary Hypertension. Since its beginnings, its task and purpose has been support and information. Make the patient and those around them feel that they are not alone on this arduous path.
The National Association of Pulmonary Hypertension has a team of professionals who try to respond to demands and who, due to their diversity, allow us to offer care and a multidisciplinary approach.
If you want to collaborate, do not hesitate to contact them. Every help is important. And more in these cases.
