Some anecdotes, which you already know I love. You might be wondering where the word Kongzi comes from, right?
There is a popular theory that says that you can place “As Kongzi said…” before practically any sentence, and not only will it make sense but it will also look great.
Well, I will reveal the mystery to you: in Chinese, Confucius is called kǒngzǐ, 孔子, which literally means Master Kong. The surname Kong is highly regarded in China, to the point that a record is kept of all of the master's descendants.
Behind the Kongzi website we find the Fundació Educativa Xinesa (FEX), which was established with the purpose of promoting, developing and disseminating the Chinese language and culture through celebrations of institutional, academic, student and cultural events.
The most interesting thing about the Foundation is its desire to integrate the Chinese community into Catalan society and culture, and on the other hand, promote knowledge of Chinese culture in Catalonia.
Among its activities, the "Confucius Cultural Center" project stands out, which organizes Chinese courses for children and adolescents in cooperation with the ESERP University Foundation.
And, returning to what I told you at the beginning, this website is a big step forward: because as Confucius said, you not only have to know but give the impression that you know. 🙂
Bravo!
