The perfect password

At IndianWebs we have talked on several occasions about the importance of passwords. There are more and more accounts we have in the online world and behind each of those profiles there is a username and, most importantly, a password that privatizes each one of them.

Edward Snowden, former analyst at the National Security Agency, has given a series of tips to prevent our password from being hacked.

His first advice is quite innovative and few would be aware of it until today. He ensures that you should not use words but rather access phrases. So that you understand, he gave a very clear example. A secure password would be: margaretthatcheris110%SEXY (Margaret Thatcher is 110% attractive).

Making misspellings and reversing the order of words are tactics and techniques that, as Mr. Snowden rightly says, are easy to compromise the system. Finally, he assured that a password of less than 8 characters is totally insecure.
