Many companies have signed up for Black Friday, a North American tradition that is celebrated every year on the first Friday after Thanksgiving.

This tradition consists of deep discounts to encourage customers to make their first purchases of the Christmas season.

In Spain it is being implemented little by little and companies such as El Corte Inglés, FNAC and Mediamarkt have joined the celebration with offers of all kinds.

Online sales are expected to increase this year by 26% and be even more important than physical sales.

The general director of the Spanish Association of the Digital Economy, José Luis Zimmermann, has assessed it very positively and explains that “they are a very important boost for the online sales channel, especially if they come from the USA. "There they don't give stitches without thread."

Furthermore, not only companies that sell electronic material have signed up. The Inditex group has also joined the bandwagon and the Zara Home and Oysho virtual stores will apply 20% discounts on the entire collection.
