eBay asks its users to change passwords

The auction company has reported that it suffered a data breach in March, and has asked its 128 million users to change their account passwords.

This database contains names, dates of birth, e-mails and their passwords, telephone numbers and addresses, but eBay points out that There is no evidence that they have entered the Paypal payment system.

"Right now we can't say the number of accounts affected, but we believe there may be a large number involved, so We ask all eBay customers to change their passwords"said Kari Ramírez, company spokesperson.

eBay explained in a statement that the cyber attack was carried out through some employee accounts with which you could access the company network without authorization. According to the company, this violation of the rules was discovered a couple of weeks ago and since then no fraudulent activity has been detected on the website.

Created in 1995, eBay has 33500 workers in total and 128 million users, generating 2860 billion profits last year.
