The importance of mobile advertising for Google

A few weeks ago at IndianWebs we echoed some very relevant news from the world of positioning. Google made an official statement in which it detailed what new aspects would begin to be valued when positioning a website. One of the main ones was the responsive design that the websites had and warned that otherwise companies would be penalized. 

This week, in the same vein as previous ones, they have highlighted and emphasized mobile advertising. They argued on the AdWords advertising platform the importance of this aspect and offered a wide range of possibilities.

To better explain this novelty and to set some guidelines, they showed a series of ads adaptable to mobile. One of a car with different perspectives, another of hotels that framed images of the establishment but also the opinions of customers, rates, the reservation button, availability, etc.

Obviously, this type of advertising is very different from computer advertising. Therefore, a major redesign exercise needs to be done to bring regular ads to mobile devices.

One of the reasons they also highlighted is that many times when we search for something using our mobile phone we are more predisposed to action. The act of looking for something when we are on the bus or waiting for our turn at the supermarket is out of urgency and those rushes can lead us to want to satisfy the need instantly.
