Facebook's biggest mistakes

It has been 10 years since this social network was created, a platform forged through trial and error, in continuous movement and under the unwavering determination of Mark Zuckerberg. Despite having more than 1.230 billion users and being the largest social network in the world, Facebook still has many things to improve.

.- Privacy : You can decide who can see a post, but it's inconvenient to change the settings on each post. In addition, there is still a privacy problem, since in the left side column there is an activity tab where you can see the user's latest movements (for example, last songs listened to on Spotify, a game that has been completed a level , or a post on another user's wall).

.- Mobile: The web version takes a long time to load and does not always adapt to the mobile phone that uses it. And on the other hand, the application has some limitations.

.- Interface modifications: With little warning and/or information, Facebook makes sudden changes. A good example is the big uproar over Timeline (biography). Facebook does not communicate changes and makes them too often.

.- Applications: There are too many, and not all of them are really useful or have flaws. For example, once you put a tag on a photo, you can't delete it from your phone, you have to go to a computer. The same thing happens with "likes" on posts.

.- Messenger service: The growing popularity of WhatsApp is taking its place in the world of instant messaging. Its application called Messenger is not completely convincing. It is very uncomfortable to receive a notification on your mobile, in the main application, open the message and have to access the Messenger application to reply. Also very annoying is the banner that encourages you to invite friends to install it in a somewhat forced way.

.- Cleaning: Surely at some point we have tried to make you a fan of many music pages, shops, movies, etc. The problem comes when, after a while, we want to clean the profile. This also happens with friend tags, event invitations, or group participation.

.- Delete the profile: It is practically impossible to permanently delete your account. The profile is deactivated, but not completely deleted. If you decide to return, you can reactivate the account as it was. According to them, they do it this way because more and more users take a break for a few months, but then they want to return or regret it.

.- Deceased users: When someone dies, their profile becomes inactive. However, it can be converted into a place to pay tribute and remember a deceased friend. The negative part of this is that these deceased people reappear on nearby birthdays and this is really uncomfortable.
